Shake-Up Likely in Special Victims Division of NYPD, O'Neill Indicates

Following a critical NYPD Inspector General’s report and disclosures about the commander’s political contributions to Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill acknowledged April 4 that it appears to be time for changes in the Special Victims Division.
“That’s going to be one of the first orders of business is to take a good look at the special-victims unit, look at their operations and look at their leadership,” he said at Manhattan’s 24th Precinct during the department's monthly briefing on crime statistics.
