The state is hiring computer operator trainees for eventual promotion to computer operators to work in various agencies and locations around New York. The filing deadline is Feb. 7. There is no application fee. A promotion exam will also be held for senior computer operator positions, although it is expected that appointments will be made as a result of an open competitive exam.
The starting salary for computer operator trainees is $38,073. The starting salary for senior computer operators is $53,262
