The city is accepting applications for environmental police officers through Aug. 30, for multiple-choice testing scheduled to begin Nov. 4.
The minimum annual salary is $49,210 for the first 26 weeks, increasing to $56,454 after that. Incumbents at Assignment Level I will receive salary increments reaching $75,593 after 6-½ years. In addition, officers receive annual uniform allowances, longevity pay and contributions by the city of welfare fund and city-paid health insurance.
