A Queens street-corner has been renamed for the late Dolores Beckham, who served as Principal for 17 years at the Joseph Pulitzer Middle School located on the same block.
Family members and students and staff from I.S. 145, where Ms. Beckham served as Principal from 1999 until her death last year, gathered at the street-naming ceremony. The event took place in Jackson Heights at the corner of 80th Street and 34th Ave., which is now named “Dr. Dolores Beckham Way.”
