The Day Care Council of New York and District Council 37’s Local 205 have reached a tentative 65-month contract on behalf of educators working at dozens of nonprofit day care centers contracted with the city, the Adams administration announced.
The pact, if ratified, would provide 16.21 percent in compounded wage increases and boost the workers’ minimum salaries to $18 an hour. The deal would provide four 3-percent raises, and a final 3.25 percent raise on Oct. 1, 2025.
