The de Blasio administration and District Council 37 last week announced an agreement to restore jobs that were formerly outsourced to private companies and is estimated to save the city as much as $100 million over the next four years while reframing its approach to technology projects.
Under the deal, 70 positions held by consultants will return to the city’s payroll and new titles will be created to adapt to emerging technologies and offer technical support and network administration.
