Home-Bound WTC Responder Hopes For Virus Vaccine Still in Short Supply

Advocates for people whose health was compromise by the toxic air in lower Manhattan and western Brooklyn after the World Trade Center terrorist attacks continue to press their case for speedy access to the coronavirus vaccine that's currently scarce, with Ron Barber, a retired Firefighter forced to leave the job 17 years ago because of a serious of debilitating ailments, a prime example of those in need.

Initial efforts for a large rollout at the tail end of the Trump Administration faltered and fell well short of its goal of administering 20 million doses by the end of 2020.
