In further fallout from a New York appellate court suspending ex-Mayor Rudy Giuliani's law license for lying in courtrooms and other public forums about the 2020 presidential election being rigged against his client, Donald Trump, a Washington, D.C. appeals court has also banned him from practicing in that city until his appeal of the New York ruling is decided.
The July 7 order from the District of Columbia appeals court came 13 days after a five-judge appellate panel from New York Supreme Court's First Judicial Panel concurred with its Attorney Grievance Committee's finding that Mr. Giuliani, while serving as Mr. Trump's personal lawyer, "made false and misleading factual statements to cast doubt on the reliability of the results of the 2020 presidential election."
