While numerous uniformed-union presidents have sharply criticized Mayor de Blasio's vaccination mandate, the head of the union representing Emergency Medical Technicians has gone well beyond that--even before it was imposed Oct. 20—by questioning whether the vaccine itself poses dangers to those who are inoculated.
Over the past three months, Oren Barzilay, the president of Emergency Medical Service Local 2507 of District Council 37, has been accused by two prominent media commentators of spreading "disinformation" and "false and misleading claims" about alleged health risks posed by the vaccine.
