It was another good day for the NYPD brass at promotion ceremonies Sept. 30. The upgrades included two 3-star Chiefs, two 2-star Chiefs, four one-star Chiefs and eight Inspectors.
Terence A. Monahan was promoted to Chief of Patrol. He joined the NYPD in January 1982. His most recent post was commander of the Office of the Chief of Department, and he has also commanded the 34th, 46th and 48th precincts as well as Narcotics Borough Manhattan North. He also served as executive officer of the 34th Precinct.
