City's gender wage gap endures, report finds

Despite the nation’s gender pay gap slightly narrowing over the past 25 years, the disparity remains stubbornly stagnant in New York City, according to a recent report.

Last year, women in New York City on average earned 90 cents for every $1 earned by their male counterparts. That figure was actually slightly less than the 92 cents New York City women earned on average in 1997, according to the report by the Center for New York City Affairs and Women Creating Change.
