Teamsters locals across the eastern seaboard, bemoaning what they say is the lack of progress on a number of contracts from food service distributor US Foods, are warning that strikes may be on the horizon.
“It’s simple,” said Brian Taylor, local Teamsters 773 secretary treasurer in Allentown, Pennsylvania. “We are going to attack this company if they're not going to deal fairly with the locals, and they're going to make it hard, and they're going to stall at the table and they're going to drag their feet, and they're not going to give us a fair contract. We will go after them. We will strike them.”
