Possibly retaliating for the union’s support of Zephyr Teachout during the Democratic primary for Governor, the Cuomo administration notified about 2,500 members of the Public Employees Federation last week that it is seeking to remove them from its jurisdiction.
“Be assured, we will be fighting this,” PEF President Susan Kent said in a Dec. 15 message to the union’s 54,000 members. She said its review of the administration’s petition to the Public Employment Relations Board “shows a complete lack of any rationale for moving titles that have been part of PEF for decades.”
