Robert Leuci, the NYPD “Prince of the City” who turned informant and gave testimony that sent dozens of former colleagues to prison, died Oct. 12 in his Rhode Island home at the age of 75.
Nicholas Scoppetta, the former associate counsel for the Knapp Commission to Investigate Alleged Police Corruption who was the first prosecutor to talk to Mr. Leuci, told the New York Times that the cause was complications after surgery.
