Farmworkers at a Long Island vineyard are the first to organize under a 2019 state law that granted farm and agricultural workers collective bargaining rights.
Twelve employees of Pindar Vineyards, in Peconic, will be represented by Local 338 of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union/United Food and Commercial Workers union, North Country Public Radio reported.
