A number of NYPD officers are suing the city, claiming that officials’ responses to their requests for religious exemptions from the vaccine mandate were a sham.
The suits, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, cast city officials’ assurances to safeguard religious protections as disingenuous. “It is transparent that Eric Adams and the City of New York’s process to protect religious rights is both illusory and insincere. In short, it’s just ‘theater,’ ” the suits read.
