To the Editor: In July, you published an editorial in which you expressed the opinion that the Medicare "Advantage" plan into which all retirees would be migrated to by the city unless they opted out was a "good deal."
I am one of the more-than 12,000 retirees who have joined a grassroots group trying to preserve our current health-care coverage, which consists of traditional Medicare and GHI as a Medigap supplement. If I want to keep that plan, it will cost me thousands of dollar a year more than I am now paying.
