Success Academy CEO Eva Moskowitz, who at one point was considered by President Trump for U.S. Secretary of Education, wrote a letter to parents last week slamming him for his refusal to denounce violence by white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va., distancing herself from him for the first time since his election.
Ms. Moskowitz wrote that she was “deeply distressed” over his comments that both white supremacists and counter-protesters were to blame for violence during the rallies in Charlottesville.
