Little progress on cleaners contract

32 BJ workers will hold strike vote Dec. 20

About 20,000 commercial office cleaners in the city are poised to walk off the job following what their union has called untenable proposed changes to their existing labor agreement. 

According to respective statements from representatives of 32BJ of the Service Employees International Union and the Realty Advisory Board on Labor Relations, talks between the two sides appear to have yielded little progress ahead of the current contract’s Dec. 31 expiration.
