A longtime Department of Correction Officer was arraigned this week on charges that she forged city disability-parking placards and then sold them to DOC colleagues, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office said.
The CO, Nakia Gales, 44, allegedly sold three of the forged placards for between $200 and $280 to three other officers and a fourth to another person, according to DA Darcel Clark’s office. All five displayed the placards in their cars.
