Firebrand justices

To the editor:

The US Supreme Court decided that bump stocks that turn assault rifles into machine guns are legal — because they are not technically “machine guns.” This silly end run around the machine gun ban was to be expected from Justice Clarence "the clown” Thomas and the other Trump-appointed justices.

Five hundred and fifty eight families in Las Vegas probably don’t agree with this ruling (58 killed and 500 injured by the Las Vegas gunman with a bump stock).

This MAGA majority Supreme Court is so predictably unreasonable that I wonder if they will find some way to allow people to own and carry ghost guns and even hand grenades and flame throwers. There must be a way the creative MAGA justices can parse and dissect the words in the Constitution and case law to find the meaning they so desperately desire.
