The Department of Correction has agreed to enhance security measures for Correction Officers after a Department of Investigation employee posing as a CO repeatedly smuggled contraband through jail security, DOI announced last week.
The report was part of an ongoing DOI probe of the smuggling of weapons and narcotics into city jails. DOI said it will issue a full report on the investigation by the end of the year.
