Curtis Sliwa, asked whether Eric Adams wasn't the worst of all possible opponents for him in his long-shot bid for Mayor, running as a Republican, wasn't going to concede the point.
"Obviously a dream-come-true scenario for me would have been the AOC acolyte, Maya Wiley, being the Democratic nominee," he said, walking along West 87st St. in the midst of an extended interview that was periodically interrupted by his unique brand of street campaigning. "Garcia might have been a more-difficult opponent [than Mr. Adams], because so many women would have voted for her."
