New York City correction officers have reached a tentative $28.4 million settlement with the city over allegations that they were not paid for all the overtime hours they worked, the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association announced this week,
The agreement, reached Sept. 25 through court-ordered mediation, would provide a total of $28,381,705 to 3,684 correction officers who signed up to be plaintiffs in the federal lawsuit, Harris et al. v. City of New York.
