To the editor:

A recent letter asks a simple question, “why can't we all get along?” (“Divided we fall,” The Chief, Dec. 27).

The answer is very simple and here are a few examples of why:

1. Donald Trump agrees to change his rental practices in 1978 in court after being sued for housing discrimination.

2. More than 25 women have claimed sexual abuse by Trump.

3. Trump is caught on camera and video bragging about being able to grab women by their genitals.

4. Trump has an affair with a porn star while his wife was pregnant, then pays off the porn star to keep it from the public before an election.

5. Trump University sued in court and agrees to pay back $25 million to the students he scammed.

6. E. Jean Carrol successfully sues Trump in connection with alleged sexual abuse.

7. He is twice impeached, including in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. 

8. Trump illegally stashes thousands of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence.

9. Trump caught in a phone conversation telling the Georgia secretary of state he needs to find over 11,000 votes.

10. The Trump organization is found to have inflated the value of his properties to secure loans.

11. Trump is found guilty of 34 felony counts in a state he lived in.

12. Trump redirects military planes to fuel up at a small airport in Scotland to save his Turnberry golf course and charges crews rack rate and bill the govt for sleeping there while they fueled the planes.

I can go on and on. But hey, Trump has concepts, such as Project 2025. I am sure his billionaires acolytes will help you, even as they cut Medicare and Social Security.
