Freelancers who work on film and TV production in the city have filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board for a union election.
The more than 150 workers with the Post Production Guild-New York took the step after their collective bargaining representative, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, several times refused to voluntarily recognize their union, according to the guild.
