A key component of the city’s ability to recover economically from the devastation wrought by the pandemic will be the jump-starting of the city’s film and television production industry, Mayor Eric Adams said last week.
The mayor’s economic recovery blueprint, “Rebuild, Renew, Reinvent,” released in March, includes overtures to the city’s “creative and cultural economy,” which he referred to as the “the soul of the city.”
