A Bronx Supreme Court Justice July 15 found Abel Cedeno, who two years ago stabbed to death 15-year-old classmate Matthew McCree at the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation, guilty of all charges against him, including first-degree manslaughter.
Mr. Cedeno, who is now 19, stabbed the teen in the chest with a three-inch switchblade during a history class at the now-closed school on Sept. 27, 2017 after a pencil or paper ball was thrown in his direction and a dispute erupted. Mr. Cedeno also stabbed Matthew’s friend, Ariane Laboy, then-16, five times, including in the chest, according to testimony. Ariane survived.
