A proposed response

To the editor:

It would be a proportionate response that serves Israel and us better than war.

Iran's proxy, Hamas, recently attacked Israel — murdering over 1,000 civilians, and boasting about it. Vis-à-vis Hamas and the Palestinians, I would urge Israel to respond to the Hamas attack mainly as Israel did to the murder of its Olympic athletes in 1972: focus on taking out the leaders and other members of Hamas overtime.

However, vis-à-vis Iran, Israel should respond to the attack by taking out Iran's 10 oil refineries. Without income from its oil sales, Iran will not be able to finance terrorism on the scale it does now.
