Less than 10 minutes into the June 10 mayoral debate, WCBS-TV's Marcia Kramer asked Maya Wiley about a bill State Attorney General Letitia James had proposed three weeks earlier that would have barred police officers from using potentially deadly force except as a last resort.
"Now some might ask," Ms. Kramer continued, "why not go all the way and take away the guns altogether like they do in 19 other countries where the bulk of the force is unarmed?"
