7 workers will split $230K prevailing wage settlement

A security company must pay nearly $230,000 in wages and interest to seven workers at a condominium in Chelsea to whom it failed to pay prevailing wages, according to the terms of a settlement reached with the offices of the New York State attorney general and the city comptroller.

Between September 2016 and February 2019, Allied Universal Security Services did not pay seven unarmed security guards working at the 540 West 28th St. condo supplemental benefits, such as health insurance and pension contributions, required under the state’s prevailing wage law, according to the settlement.
