I believe putting pressure on Washington to help stop this war but using our pension funds as a political tool to support or not support certain groups is a misfire. The responsibility of NYCERS is to keep the funds stable and strong to provide Sufficient funds to the Pension system. To Deinvest in strong stocks and bonds without supplying an equal or better value would be a huge mistake. NYCERS isn’t a political football for any groups it suppose to supply Funding for present and future retire workers. The pension system pays everyone regardless of backgroup , political Association and that’s including race. Dont try to use this as your leverage cause people in NYCERS aren’t with this program to weaken our safety net !!!!
