To the Editor: Mayor de Blasio is musing about laying off 22,000 city workers. I speculate that would likely include hundreds of correction officers.
The Department of Correction is a workforce replete with anxiety and trepidation over having to work in close contact during the coronavirus pandemic and vexed with the additional concern of infecting their families.
