It seems that one conservative writer (Thomas P. Cunningham, Feb. 5 letter) has fixated on labeling me a “yellow-dog” Democrat. He assumes that I vote for Democrats regardless of who wears the party’s badge the way southern racists did following the Civil War.
However, like most of the opinions expressed in this gentleman’s writings, he is wrong. I would like to remind all readers of The Chief-Leader that it was the judgment of the person in question that Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino would win the statehouse two years ago due to his support for fracking and opposition to abortion rights, two positions with which an overwhelming majority of New Yorkers disagree.
