The recent assassinations of police officers in Dallas and in Baton Rouge, La., “are an attack on this country, on this nation, which is basically a nation of laws,” Sergeants Benevolent Association President Edward D. Mullins said in an interview last week.
“By killing police officers, you’re killing the country,” he said. “You’re not making a statement, you’re committing murder.”
