Mayor de Blasio indicated that he has reversed course on a proposal to eliminate the admissions test used to gain entry into the city’s specialized high schools.
“We tried something that we thought would be fair and we thought would work and obviously it didn't,” he said during a Sept. 25 an ethnic-press roundtable. “And we have to come up with a new approach and we're going to work with all stakeholders to do that.”
