More than seven months after a State Supreme Court Justice issued a temporary restraining order barring the mailing of ballots in District Council 37 Local 372’s election, he ordered April 20 that they go out next month and be counted in early June.
The ballots will be mailed out to Local 372 members—23,000 non-pedagogical school staff including School Lunch Workers and School Crossing Guards—on May 10 and counted June 7, according to labor lawyer Arthur Schwartz.
