Former Police Officer Rony Santiago admitted he did wrong when he came on sexually to a woman he had arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a Target store in The Bronx.
But he insisted he shouldn’t have been fired for it. In a lawsuit filed Oct. 17 seeking his job back, Mr. Santiago said another officer, Joseph Essig, was arrested in an Atlantic City casino and charged with a felony for pinching a woman’s buttocks, yet kept his job.
