Raglan George, who had the bad luck to become the executive director of the local representing day-care workers at virtually the same time Michael Bloomberg became Mayor, is finally rid of his nemesis but confronted by a re-election challenge for the first time in recent years.
Noting his role in electing a successor to Mr. Bloomberg “who’s going to be more socially conscious,” Mr. George said it was no coincidence that members of his executive board who refrained from seeking the top spot at District Council 1707 while the three-term Mayor was in charge were now seeking to unseat him.
