Workers, union say local demo company is exploitative

One February morning, demolition workers at the Terminal Warehouse project construction site in Chelsea arrived to find a Spanish-language flier setting a bounty on 22 of their co-workers. It offered $5,000 to anyone who provided information that led to the arrest and conviction of the named men, all of whom had filed workers’ compensation claims against their employer, Manhattan-based Alba, claims the company said are fraudulent.
