To the Editor: While President Trump has continued to undermine and worsen the nation's response to coronavirus--lying about the benefits of useless treatments, discrediting Dr. Anthony Fauci's service to our country and calling testing "overrated" (even though he is tested several times per day)--he shows us that his ability to inflict harm is boundless.
A short time ago, Mr. Trump had a phone conversation with Russian President Putin and never asked the dictator whether he had offered the Taliban bounties to kill our soldiers. When pressed by the media as to why this important subject had not come up, Mr. Trump responded, "A lot of people said it's a fake issue" despite our intelligence community believing it important enough to be included in the president's Daily Brief six months ago.
