To the editor:
It finally happened. After roughly 46 months of lying, stoking anger and division, Donald Trump admitted he lost the 2020 election “by a whisker” during a 45-minute podcast held by Lex Fridman.
I wonder what the over 1,400 people criminally charged (which includes 900 convicted and 500 sentenced to prison) in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection were thinking when they heard about Trump’s admission. And, what do the tens of millions who swallowed Trump’s election lies hook line and sinker think?
I know what I think. Trump is exactly who folks like myself have been saying he is since descending the escalator of Trump Tower in mid-June 2015 — a con man who uses and abuses anyone gullible enough to trust him, be it in business or politics.
