The MTA is accepting applications for subway car maintainers through Oct. 15.
The current minimum salary for the position in the Division of Maintenance of Way is $37.16 per hour for a 40-hour work week, increasing to $43.72 per hour in the sixth year of service. The current minimum salary for car maintainers in the Division of Car Equipment is $38.80 per hour, increasing to $45.65 per hour in the sixth year of service.
