To the editor:
President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Robert Sica insist that if they are not stopped, Iran will develop a nuclear bomb and use it on Israel. But in all the years Iran has been enriching uranium, it has made zero bombs.
Israel's estimated to have 90 nukes and the U.S. has the most of any country. Only the U.S. has ever used them against another country.
Israel is a very small country with the Palestinian territories adjacent to it and they share borders with Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. So to think that Iran wants to nuke Israel, you have to believe that they have no problem wiping out the Palestinians as well as damaging those bordering countries.
As for Iran's oppression and killing of its own citizens, this has almost always been exclusively a concern only for countries that the U.S. has deemed as enemies. The U.S. has never demanded that Saudi Arabia turn itself into a democracy.
Twice the U.S. attacked Iran while negotiating with them. So Trump not only admires Nazi generals, but Japan's World War II tactics as well. They bombed Pearl Harbor while negotiating with the U.S. When watching World War II movies, who do you think Trump roots for?
The current war started with an attack that not only killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but also his wife, daughter, grandchild, son-in-law and daughter-in-law. Organized crime families have been known to avoid killing family members of their targets. But Trump's morals are lower.
Israel and the U.S. have the distinction of being two countries whose reputations have declined in recent years. But that's what happens when enough of their people vote to elect corrupt warmongers as their leaders.

Richard Warren,
Iran’s history of aggression against neighboring countries like Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, coupled with Islamic beliefs that martyrdom leads to Paradise and divine rewards, makes it logical to assume Iran would use nuclear weapons against Israel if it acquired them. Your letter is based on imagination, illogical assumptions, and a lack of Middle Eastern history.
Thanks for including my name with Trump and Netanyahu! From now on, just call us the Big Three!

Your description of my letter sounds like projection.

Word Man, Weird Man, Absurd Man, you link yourself with an evil mass killer, Bibi Netanyahu, and a demented enabler of Netanyahu, Bibi’s leashed doggy, Donald J Trump. As Admin said, it’s projection, and also narcissism and grandiosity. “Big three?” - what a joke.

As night descended and silence enveloped the world, the earth digested the burdens of humanity, rising from the depths of fallen civilizations. Amidst this transformation, a glimmer of hope emerged on the horizon, painted against a sky adorned with an array of untold deeds..
As the wind had blown, I turned my head, for the wind had filled my mind with historic thoughts. I inhaled deeply. The scent of history filled my mind heavily weighing upon me, I thought: "My beloved land is under attack from hateful souls. If not for the courage of past heroes, they would sit upon the thrones of generations past."

That's why he's called Word Man. He uses many words to say nothing.

To stimulate constructive thinking, it’s crucial to employ free verse and metaphor. Simply copying information from partisan sources doesn’t contribute to thought-provoking discourse.

A more accurate description of Word Man's writing is destructive thinking.

Except when you quote a partisan source and pathological liar named Trump.

This one is for you Gorman, ( AKA ) foulmouth
Mr. Foulmouth, your intense dislike for Mr. Trump and Mr. Netanyahu is likely due to intrusive thoughts. These thoughts cause severe anxiety and distress, disrupting your thinking and leading to compulsive behaviors to alleviate the discomfort—which result in indecorous language.
This serious medical condition requires a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to determine the causes of your obsession with Mr. Trump and Mr. Netanyahu. Your psychiatrist will likely conduct a thorough examination to identify the factors contributing to your fixation.

So now Word Man is a psychiatrist. But then again, some psychiatrists need a psychiatrist.

The descent of this thread into personal attacks makes me yearn for the moratorium on Middle East related letters that the
Publisher enacted in the past. Frankly, I would love to see a similar pause on Trump related letters. This is a labor newspaper. Trump already blocks out the sun across many media platforms. Let the Letters section mirror The Chief’s mission.
