The New York City Police Benevolent Association filed a federal lawsuit against the Civilian Complaint Review Board this week, alleging the agency improperly disclosed unsubstantiated misconduct allegations against NYPD officers, including claims of sexual misconduct, racial profiling and perjury.
The CCRB, a 15-member civilian oversight body, investigates complaints filed against police officers and refers substantiated cases to the police commissioner, who determines discipline.
