To the editor:
Mayor Adams recently underwent medical tests for pain on his side. The tests caused the mayor to cancel official activities for several days. The testing must have therefore been extensive. The mayor himself acknowledged that one test required anesthesia.
At the same time, the mayor received needed care, he has sought to deny Medicare and supplemental health care coverage to retired city employees. Instead, he stubbornly seeks to force retirees into an inferior, private Medicare Advantage plan.
I wonder whether this profit-driven plan would have authorized the mayor's presumably costly tests or would have instead offered two Tylenol for his pain.
I am quite sure that city retirees would like to know whether what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
The mayor and his plan should assure us that it is.

Yes, Arnold, but Adams, a corrupt, greedy hypocrite will never admit he was wrong. That's why he is getting along so well now with Donald Trump who is holding a legal sword over Adams' head. Adams and Trump were made for each other.

I agree. The hypocrisy of the Mayor is stunning. He is also willingly being blackmailed by a "wannabe" dictator.
