New York’s autoworkers: striking for their future

Jeffrey Purcell has been working at the Stellantis parts distribution center in Tappan, New York, for more than a decade, helping to ensure that Jeep, Chrysler and Ram dealerships in the area have all the parts they need to service vehicles driven into their lots. 

Purcell, a single father of three children, is the president of his factory’s United Auto Workers local, Local 3039, which represents more than 75 workers who work in the plant alongside him.
