City officials urged to reduce ambulance response times

When Antonio Morales was found unresponsive lying in a pool of his own blood early on the morning of Aug. 25, his daughter Maisha Morales immediately called 9-1-1 for an ambulance. She was assured by the emergency operator that an ambulance was on the way. 

Morales and her mother would wait nearly an hour for EMTs to finally arrive and transport her father to the nearest hospital.
