MTA hiring mechanical maintainers in bus department at $37 an hour
The MTA is accepting applications for mechanical maintainers in the Department of Buses through Oct. 15 for multiple-choice and practical-skills testing scheduled to begin Dec. 4. The current minimum salary is $37.16 per hour for a 40-hour week, increasing to $43.72 in the sixth year. Benefits include night and weekend salary differentials, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, a comprehensive medical plan and a pension plan.
