Lying as a way of life

Posted

To the editor:

President Trump has used the lie often in his career. Lying is so easy.

You don’t have to work at anything. You don’t have to read or study. All you have to do is act with great fanfare and lie like hell.

Lying allows you to shape reality however you want to shape it, just like God, and a whole lot of people will believe you. When the truth finally comes out, everybody has moved on to other pressing matters.

They don’t really keep track of the earlier lies, because they are so fascinated and immobilized by the new lies.

Lying is a great way to reduce the complexity of life down to almost nothing, so the liar can get people to unite around a simplified version of reality.

Here’s Trump’s easy to grasp version of life: “Immigrants and people of color are bad. Science and universities are bad. Humanitarian government policies are bad. Muslims are bad. Trump is good. Trump is never, ever wrong.”

Bingo, MAGA America has something they can unite around without ever opening their eyes to see the real world.

"Ms. Shinkoskey’s letter is the manifestation of abstract assumptions and bias against Mr. Trump and his supporters—a lack of redemption!"

Trump lies so much, he keeps getting caught in his prior lies. He can't keep his stories straight. He is a pathological liar.

Trump is far more than a liar. He's a womanizer, a thief, a cheat, a market manipulator, a war monger, a blasphemer, a racist, a sociopath, a narcissist and a fraud. He's also an incompetent fool. Not very profound but all too true.

Your post is a psychological projection—an ego defense mechanism—to avoid acknowledging your own flaws by shifting the blame to others. The evidence is clear: you are the proven liar, Cannisi, not Mr. Trump.

Trump has been caught telling hundreds of provable lies. The lies included Trump claiming:

Gas was below $2/gal in 2025 when the national average was $3.19.

He was lowering drugs 1500%, a mathematical impossiblity. He still repeats this lie and so does RFK Jr.

Two Olympic gold medalist boxers in the Paris games were transitioned men, they aren't.

USAID was giving $100 million to Hamas for condoms.

He's eliminated inflation when the rate remains well above the Fed target of 2%, currently 3.26%.

No other country has mail-in voting, except Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, etc.

Gov Wes Moore called Trump "the greatest president" even though Fox debunked Trump's claim using their recording of the conversation in question.

No other country has birthright citizenship, except 35 countries do.

Foreign countries pay tariffs when it's US consumers who pay when importers pass the tax on.

Keep drinking the KoolAid Word Man, also your game of "I'm rubber and you're glue' is getting stale.

Oh Word Man, as for your post on psychological projection, you weren't even aware of the term until I diagnosed that you suffer from the condition two weeks ago. So weak!
